Homemade Spaghetti sauce w Meatballs

1 pound ground turkey
1 cup bread crumbs
1 T dried parsley
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/8 t garlic powder
1 egg, beaten

4 cloves garlic, minced
3 cans crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
2 t dried Italian seasoning
2 t white sugar
3 t salt

In large bowl, combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, parsley, Parmesan, garlic powder and beaten egg. Mix well and form into 12 balls. Store covered in refrigerator until needed. (I made ahead of time and browned slightly - this is optional). In slow cooker add sauce ingredients (except tomato paste) and cook on low for at least 2 hours. Add meatballs, tomato paste and simmer 2 hours longer. Serve over noodles. (We like our sauce unchunky so I did fish out the tomatoes and puree'd them in the blender).
