Pumpkin Pie Cake

1 large can of pumpkin
4 eggs
1 can evaporated milk
1 1/2 c sugar
2 T cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
1 t ginger

topping:
1 boxed yellow cake mix
2 sticks of butter
your favorite nuts

Mix first 7 ingredients well in a bowl. Pour into an ungreased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle the cake mix & nuts (if you prefer) over the pumpkin and then pour the butter over all of that! Bake 350 for 1 hour! Let cool, but delicious warm with whipped cream!
